Arneis - a Winter White

The cooler months are creeping up on us. There's something very comforting about sitting in front of a crackling fire, the sounds, smells and then you have that glass of wine in your hand. Normally one would think a big bold red - but why not think outside the box and grab a bottle of Arneis. Pronounced are-nayz it means Little Rascal. This is a direct reference to the difficult cultivation and fickle nature of the variety.
We have had several "BIG" red drinkers convert to this drop - what we are saying is men love this wine. We have also found men who generally don't drink whites LOVE this wine. It has fruit clarity with underlying textual complexity.
Shortly we will be placing a 6 pack special called "The Winter Warmer" on our site here. Arneis will be part of the pack.

Symphonia - King of the Bubbles

Did you see the write up about our Prosecco in the latest edition of Wine Selectors? They love it and you will too. Our winemaker Lilian Carter says you should have fun and not be too precious with Prosecco, and though we do like drinking it on its on it is also great to mix it up, like a Peach Bellini for instance.

Ingredients

1 Bottle of Symphonia Prosecco

2 Medium sized Peaches, peeled and diced.

1/2 cup water

Pinch of sugar

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Directions

  • 1 Puree peaches, water, lemon juice and sugar in a blender until smooth.
  • 2 Fill a champagne flute a quarter full of the puree and then top off with Symphonia Prosecco
  • 3 Enjoy
