A grape we don’t see much of round these parts but this fruit has been used by Bill Downie in the past. Inspired by the Jurancon, brilliantly expressive floral nose of minerals, honeysuckle, marzipan and so much more besides. The palate is layered and long with citrus, lanolin, cumquat, grilled pineapple with a superb acid line. Worth trying with spicy Asian dishes.
Available by the dozen only.
Pairs well with chilli crab, salted squid and Asian salads.
