Symphonia Tannat 2017
Regular price $45.00
The grape variety Tannat originated in Basque country of Northern Spain and Southern France. Research shows that out of all red wine varieties Tannat has the greatest concentration of oligomeric procyanidins (otherwise known as anti-oxidants). Simply put it's the best red wine for your heart.
Grown in the cool climate of the King Valley it ripens late in the season and is able to retain a higher than average level of acidity. These two elements combine to produce a structured wine with great aging potential.
The wine is deep in colour with crimson hues. An aroma of blackberries, and fruits of the forest, give way to a brooding mix of dark spices and earthy elements. Mouth-filling ripe tannins, supported by fine French oak, and an intensely vibrant black fruit profile, result in a textured palate with savoury complexity and persistence. Enjoyed now or confidently cellared for 10+ years.
