Symphonia Saperavi 2017
Regular price $40.00
The Saperavi variety originates from Georgia, one of the oldest winemaking regions in the world. The name means "dyed or painted" and is a reference to the grapes unusually dark flesh as well as highly coloured skin.
There are only a handful of vineyards in Australia growing Saperavi, however its popularity is certainly growing. It is a late ripening variety which has thrived in our vineyard for 30 years.
The wine is characterised by flavours of blackcurrant, mulberry, dried herbs, and slightly herbal aromas which are balanced by powerful and vibrant ripe black fruits of the forest and a strong tannin profile. Â This is a wine that ages incredibly well!
